Guests like Alexander Nahorodny have described the food as “delicious,” highlighting the perfectly balanced heat of the Seafood Curry and the satisfying quality of the Pad Thai. Nicole Mosher appreciates the freshness and generous portions, though she wisely notes the spiciness is not for the faint of heart, even at medium heat — a testament to the genuine boldness of their flavors. Long-time patrons such as Ellen Witz celebrate the consistency of the dishes, cooked fresh to order and delivered piping hot in a setting that is both comfortable and tastefully decorated.
For fans of the iconic Drunken Noodles, Golden Buddha delivers a standout version. As Cody Buchanan mentions, the dish strikes a perfect balance of spice and freshness with tender chicken and crisp veggies, though he notes a personal preference for slightly thicker noodles. This honest feedback underscores the restaurant’s commitment to quality while highlighting a small, personal detail that makes dining here feel like a genuine, heartfelt experience.
Exor Omega (Virus), a longtime regular who now shares the experience with their fiancée, summarizes it best: whether dining in or grabbing takeout, Golden Buddha Thai Cuisine consistently offers authentic, home-style meals that feel both comforting and exciting, wrapped in hospitality that makes you feel truly valued.
For anyone seeking a genuine taste of Thailand without leaving Michigan, Golden Buddha Thai Cuisine is a culinary sanctuary where freshness, spice, and sincerity come together in perfect harmony.
Staff was very courteous and tentative. Food and drinks here were delicious! I got the Seafood Curry (C5) extra hot and my wife got the Pad Thai medium. The Thai sweet tea and coffee here are very good the coffee is really thick and sweet with good flavor. Definitely one of my all time favorite Thai places maybe one of my favorite restaurants period depending on whether or not I feel like Thai at the time :P
Absolutely best Thai restaurant I have tried to date! Absolutely fresh. This spice heat is a little more than others so be careful if you order medium. They do warn you! Their portions are large and food is fresh! :)
Been coming here for over 16 years or more. Food is always cooked to order, hot and tasty. Plenty of seating and nice decor.
I judge a thai restaurant on their Drunken Noodle (Pad Kee Mao) and this place is a huge win! The dish is not too sweet and the spicy is on point. Fresh veggies and tender chicken. I enjoy the noodles a little thicker, and that would be the only complaint. Otherwise, really well done!
I’ve been coming here since high school, and now I bring my fiancée — that’s how much this place means to me. The food is consistently fantastic: Chicken Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Holy Basil Fried Rice are my go-tos, and they always taste like authentic Thai home cooking. Whether we dine in (cozy, casual, and welcoming) or grab takeout on the go, the quality is always top-notch. And the best part? The prices are still great after all these years. The ladies who run it are truly wonderful and bring a piece of Thailand to our community. Easily my favorite Thai spot for at least 15 years - can’t recommend it enough.
Enjoyed our dinner! Great flavors, slighty different than other Thai restaurants. Friendly staff. Wish they were closer to us.
This place is so good!!! Best food I’ve had in months! Great vegetarian options and your able to take away or add stuff you want.
